Behind the Brand
Mirth was founded by lifelong sparkling water enthusiast Jeremy Philip Galen. Stemming from when his grandpa Ben first taught him how to use a soda siphon, Jeremy developed an obsession with sparkling water as a child. Over the next few decades, Jeremy built his career at various technology companies, consuming gallons and gallons of sparkling water in the process. However, he slowly began to grow tired of the same tastes. Almost all of the options available were either citrus- or berry-flavored and sweetened with stevia or excessive amounts of sugar. One day, while enjoying a lunch of avocado and prosciutto and sipping on a Pellegrino, Jeremy started to wonder why interesting and unique sparkling waters didn’t exist on the market.
When the COVID pandemic hit and the world entered lockdown, Jeremy decided to try his hand at creating a sparkling water that fulfilled his needs. He bought a vintage soda siphon — similar to the one that his grandpa Ben had used — and began to tinker with various flavors. Delving far from the norm, he infused sparkling water with unorthodox ingredients like prosciutto and duck cracklings. Though the first iterations flopped, Jeremy knew he had stumbled on something special when he started incorporating fruit peels, essential oils, and coffee grounds into his experiments. The shockingly delicious and refreshing taste won the approval of his girlfriend, and Jeremy decided to pursue his first production run. He launched Mirth with three different flavors — Mint Chocolate, Grapefruit Juniper, and Ginger Lemongrass — each sweetened with a subtle touch of real, organic sugar rather than fake-tasting sugar substitutes. Today, Mirth is spreading joy and good vibes everywhere, encouraging people to celebrate the small pleasures in life.
