Behind the Brand
CanDo was founded by Adam Bremen, who was born with cerebral palsy and confined to an electric wheelchair his entire life. At the age of 42, Adam was overweight — tipping the scales at 230lb — and unhappy with his health. He decided it was time to make a change. Adam adopted a keto diet and a daily water aerobic exercise routine, kickstarting his 65lb weight-loss journey. However, while searching for keto-friendly snacks he could enjoy between meals, Adam realized there was nothing on the market that met his needs. He struggled to find a convenient, on-the-go snack with clean ingredients that actually tasted good. Having grown up believing that life is about what you can do, and not what you can’t do, Adam decided to solve his own problem.
With the help of his brother Noah, Adam set out to create a premium, keto-friendly bar with balanced macros and amazing taste. Hundreds of iterations and tests later, he landed on the formulation that would eventually become CanDo’s first Keto Krisp bar. In March of 2019, Adam launched his first three Keto Krisp flavors — Almond Butter, Chocolate Mint, and Chocolate Raspberry — at Earthbar in Brentwood, California, marking the start of a meteoric rise for the CanDo team. Today, CanDo manufactures one of the nation’s favorite keto bars, inspiring and empowering people to live healthier lifestyles everyday.
