Behind the Brand
Kiramoon was founded by Texas native Lindsey Martin. Previously leading a sales team for a global software company, Lindsey had the opportunity to witness the ins and outs of how a business was run. But though she was managing over 30 team members and had built a successful career in the corporate world, Lindsey was feeling anxious, burnt out, and overworked. She started feeling the urge to work for herself, rather than for someone else. At the time, skincare had become an integral part of Lindsey’s routine; it was a sacred moment at the end of her long and stressful work days. One night, as she was doing her nightly skincare routine, Lindsey came to the realization that all of her products’ packaging looked very clinical and monochrome. It didn’t resonate with her at all or make her feel excited to use the products. Lindsey knew she could do better.
Shortly afterward, Lindsey got on her laptop and started reaching out to over 50 manufacturers. It took several months to find the right manufacturer who would take a chance on her and help with developing the first Kiramoon products. Lindsey compiled a list of ingredients that she was intent on including and excluding, ensuring that her products were all vegan and cruelty-free, and partnered with branding agency YUNGBLD to bring Kiramoon to life. She invested $75,000 of her life savings into her business and launched Kiramoon in January of 2021, making $10,000 in the first 24 hours of her site going live. Adored for its playful, whimsical packaging and effective ingredients, Kiramoon has now elevated thousands of beauty routines and continues to bring joy to skincare fanatics everywhere.
