Pow was founded by Ezra Rufino, who struggled with chronic health issues from a young age. As Ezra got older, his symptoms — even despite the many different medications that he took — only seemed to get increasingly worse. When the COVID pandemic hit and Ezra’s health issues and stress levels reached a peak, he knew he had to find a better way to manage his health. He decided to take matters into his own hands.

Ezra began to test out new diets, incorporating functional mushrooms and adaptogens into his daily routines. He was shocked at the noticeable effects of these superfoods and ultimately switched out his coffee for matcha, reaping the benefits of the high antioxidant levels and more balanced energy. Ezra knew he wanted to share these incredible benefits with the world and decided to turn his discovery into a product. He formulated a blend of matcha, functional mushrooms, and adaptogens and began producing it in a commercial kitchen. Today, Ezra creates Pow in small batches each week, living out his mission to change the way we fuel and heal our bodies.
